Nothing comes easy. It takes a lot of hard work to get in
shape and become a champion bodybuilder. I know, because
I’ve done it.
I started out in the fitness field in 1983 as an aerobics
instructor. I taught classes and managed an aerobics
program in
Tacoma
and
Puyallup,
Washington.
Before long, I was offered the opportunity to start my own
gym. The Fitness and Shape Gym offered aerobics classes,
weightlifting, karate and self-defense. I managed the
operation and personally taught 15 classes a week, while
taking instruction in karate.
In 1986, I closed the gym and moved to
Bellevue,
Washington
and expanded into new horizons. I successfully became a
medical assistant and in 1988, I gave birth to my son.
Then I took a bold step. I began bodybuilding in 1992 and
entered my first competition in 1993. It took a great deal
of dedication and concentration to get into and stay in
top form. But it paid off. Since 1993, I have won
First Place
and Overall honors in competitions from
New York
to
Honolulu.
While still in Bellevue,
I started one-on-one personal training, getting great
results from clients ranging in age from eleven to eighty!
In 1997, I moved to the beautiful
island
of
Maui
where I wound up buying and running a rental car business,
something of a detour from the personal training that I
loved so much. In 2000, I got back into bodybuilding, and
represented
Maui,
my new home, in competitions. I won the Musclemania
Championship in
Los Angeles
that year. When I got out of the car business, and wanted
to start personal training again, I moved to
Honolulu.
Ten years into my career as a bodybuilding competitor, I
took First in the 2004
Paradise
Cup Championship in Hawaii,
and in July 2005, I took another shot at the national
championships in
Las Vegas
and came away with sixth place against very tough
competition.
More recently, I am happy and proud to have won First
Overall and Best Poser in the 2006 Paradise
Cup.
Because competing in regional and national competitions is
an expensive undertaking, I am always looking for
sponsors. If you have ever wanted to sponsor a
bodybuilder, here’s your chance. I am preparing to enter
major championships in 2007 and could use your support.

you soon.
